No screen time makes room for so much fun.
We (the kids) are on the last few days of easter break from school and it’s been lovely.
I realized that when we are truly present, no screen time, the days feel like they aren’t going by so fast. Me and Stina have talked about that in the podcast and I’ve really feel like I can see the difference now. This time it doesn’t feel like the school break has gone by to fast, I love it. It’s been normalized to spend hours in our phones and it makes time go by so fast, we miss out on so much of life because of it.
Now we’ve been outside a lot, having barbecues and playing. In the beginning of the holiday it was raining and we spent two days going to the cinema, one of the days we saw Hoppers (operation bäver in Swedish), I loved the movie!
Wednesday I called a friend and asked if I could go and pick her kids up from school and keep them for a day and it was so much fun, I love that the kids are getting older and we can have there friends over like this. The kids where so happy, we spent hours outside and when we got inside we moved the living room table, put a mattress on the floor and everyone slept there after watching two movies and eating a lot of snacks. The day after we went out for a walk, playing in the forest and eating pancakes and cookies, making memories for a lifetime. I loved to do this with my older kids and there friends when they where younger to, I hope we can turn it into a thing every school holiday.
Now I’m going to close my computer and go back to painting with the kids
